On the concluding day of the ongoing “VIVYAN-the TECHFEST” in VIVEKANANDA
INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (VIVTECH), a computer-programming competition
“C-Marathon” was held on 17th January 2014. About 150 software
enthusiasts from 20 engineering colleges competed to prove their proficiency in
programming skill. The mega-event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) A. K. Rath,
Principal, DRIEMS. The day-long competition was preceded by a technical session,
presided over by Principal Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Nanda, M.D. Er. P. R. Gharai and
Dean Prof. (Dr.) B. B. Swain inspired the participants to find new and easier
solutions in computer applications. Er. T. Tarai, Head of the CSE. Deptt. spelt
out the objectives of C-Marathon. Prizes worth thousands of rupees were
distributed to the winners at the end.
