Natural: this skill set would comprise of a decent aesthetic sense, colour expertise, good taste and sense of trends and fashion. An eye for detail, knowledge of fabrics and so on is a big plus for those serious about a career as a fashion designer.

Acquired skills would be a qualification from a decent, recognized fashion Institute. You can enrol for either a full-time course or a part time certificate course. Students usually take these up after their 10+2 level. Not that the courses are not available for graduates or people with higher qualification. There are several short-term certificate courses that are offered by the same fashion institutes for super specialization, on part-time basis. These courses equip you with technical and creative thinking skills.

Durga Puja- 2013

In the battle of good versus evil we know that at the end always good triumphs. But where do we get the practical example for the above statement. One of the practical example of this is the festival of Dussehra. In India Dussehra is also called Vijaya Dasahmi . This festival is observed for 10 days. The Durga Puja is celebrated in two different ways in Odisha. In Shakti peethas (temples of goddess) the Durga Puja is observed with proper rituals for 10 to 16 days known as Shodasa Upachara/Shohala dinatmaka, which starts from 7 days earlier to mahalaya called as mulastami and ends on Vijayadashami, dussehra. Goddess Durga is also worshiped by devotees in different pandals in form deities across the state. The pandals are decorated with beautiful decoratives.
The name Dussehra is derived from Sanskrit term Dasha-hara literally means removal of ten referring to Lord Ram's victory over the ten-headed demon king Ravan. The day also marks the victory of Goddess Durga over the demons Mahishasura. The name Vijayadashami is also derived from the Sanskrit words "Vijaya-Dashmi" literally meaning the victory on the tenth lunar day of the Hindu calender . There are many legends behind the festival of dussehra . Some of the demons, were very powerful and ambitious and continually tried to defeat the Devas, or Gods, and capture Heaven. One Asura, Mahishasura, in the form of a buffalo, grew very powerful and created havoc on the earth. Under his leadership, the Asuras defeated the Devas. The world was crushed under Mahishasura's tyranny, the Devas joined their energies into Shakti, a single mass of incandescent energy, to kill Mahishasura. A very powerful band of lightning emerged from the mouths of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva and a young, beautiful female virgin with ten hands appeared. All the Gods gave their special weapons to her. This Shakti coalesced to form the goddess Durga. Riding on a lion, who assisted her, Durga fought Mahishasura. The battle raged for nine days and nights. Finally on the tenth day of Ashvin shukla paksha, Mahishasura was defeated and killed by Durga. Hence, Dasha-Hara is also known as Navratri or Durgotsav and is a celebration of Durga's victory.

Though there are some impediments and disagreements on some issues, the contribution of this organization to bring world trade coherence can not be neglected. Since various trading partners/countries are involved in the complex trade activities, a lot of complexities arise during the whole process. These may be due to differing export-import policies, legislations, custom agreements, documentation requirements, quality control concerns, standardization and other micro/ macro economic consideration. International business operations account for production, invoicing, packing, insurance, transportation and shipping, logistics, quality control, inspection, finance, documentation, marketing, import, export, custom clearance, legislation, risk assessment, surveying, service, liasoning, foreign exchange  management, merchandizing, taxation, research and development etc. Aside from it, there is direct role of professionals in managing human resource at multinational companies involved in international trade and business. They enhance the scope of international business.

Scope and Nature of Career in International Business:
In view of the dimensions mentioned above, the professionals in international business are required by organizations involved in export import specially export houses, merchandisers, custom clearing houses, special economic zones, dry ports, ports, logistic companies, transportation corporations , state trading corporations, marine insurance companies, shipping companies/corporations, directorate general of foreign trade, banks and financial institutions providing export-import finance & foreign exchange services, pre-shipment and post-shipment quality control labs, export marketing firms, BPO involved in export import business, customer relationship management, International finance, international accounting and international financial management.

Career Course in Marketing Management

Introduction:
Business is omnipresent in our day-to-day life and for a potential growth in the market, all kinds of organizations depend on the promotion of their products. For that every firm requires professionals with sales or marketing background. Marketing is a business discipline which is focused on the application of marketing techniques and administrating an organizations marketing resources. In simple words, marketing is the method of convincing people about a product / concept using different ideas and thus help the business grow. This field which involves advertising, distributing and selling of a product is regarded as the most important element in the growth of any company.
Marketing / Sales Management involves studying the marketability of the product involved and the measures to enhance sales and implementing the same. Even though the term marketing has been derived from its initial word 'market', the place where transactions between buyers and sellers occur, it is much more than the original meaning. It is a well planned process of exchange between the customers and the sellers. A marketing process consists of four major Ps; i.e Product, Pricing, Placement and Promotion.
Marketing personnel are professionals appointed by the company for convincing the clients and make them buy a product that the business offers. They are the people who create brands and promote their products and services. Sales and Marketing are two of the ever flourishing career sectors in the world and those having a knack for convincing people can find excellent job openings in this field. No specific qualification is required to enter the field, but a managerial position in marketing requires MBA graduates preferably with marketing as the specialized area. Success in this profession depends on ones marketing skills, which include communication, tact, creativity, stress and time management.
According to American Marketing Association (AMA) marketing is "the activity, set of institutions, and processes for creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers, clients, partners, and society at large.” The term marketing applies not only to private business firms but also to almost all other organizations such as government, social service institutions, NGO's etc.

Shree Jagannath is the Human God

King Indradyumna started the temple of Jagannatha in Odisha at Puri and he wanted to establish a picture in the temple of Jagannath (Krishna), Subhadra & Balarama coming to Kurukshetra in the chariot during solar eclipse. He employed Viswakarma to carve them from wood but Viswakarma made a contract with king that he will work behind closed door and king will not disturb him. But the King was very impatient to see, opened the door. So he stopped carving, but the king saw it is half finished. He decided to install these deities in the temple. Since then, the three deities Jagannatha, Balarama and Subhadra are being worshiped at Puri.

Shree Jagannath is called Patitapaban because he does not differentiate between people of different caste, colour and sex. Everyone is equal before his eyes. The Gajapati(King master of elephants) of Puri is the first servant of lord Jagannath. He has to sweep the chariots in public, this shows the king & sweeper all are equal.

The vehicles remained off the roads, Shops, markets, state and central government offices, court, educational and financial institutions remained closed with attendance in government offices thin. The situation in block level was the same all the offices, schools, colleges, shops were closed.

The bandh was wholly successful in the district said N.Ahmed, president of district bar association. He further alleged that despite availability of infrastructure for functioning of high court benches at Jeypore, the state government is apathetic towards the demand of the people of undivided Koraput district who run to Cuttack which is 750 Kms away from the remote area in this region in this connection with their cases in the high court.

Congress allows five BJD candidates to win un- opposed in the civic poll in Jajpur Town

Jajpur: The Congress Party  has virtually given a walkover to the ruling BJD in the coming  civic poll  of Jajpur town in Jajpur district as  Congress candidates  withdrew  their candidatures  from six  wards  out of 18 wards on Thursday in favour of BJD candidates.

Due to withdrawal of rival party candidates from the race, BJD candidates were declared unopposed in five wards.

The Congress candidates from ward no- 9 Sadhana Moharana, Rabindra Narayan Mishra from ward no- 10 Kabita Das from ward no- 3 Mayadhar Kandi from ward no- 4 , Kanakalata Sahoo from ward no- 5  and a Congress backed  independent candidate Bijayananda Behera from ward no- 4  have withdrawn their nomination papers on Thursday as a result

BJD candidates Swadeshi Patnaik, Barsarani Mehera,, Bhabaprasad Das, Sandhya Das, and Kanakalata Das have been elected unopposed . After much dilly-dallying, the Congress candidates dropped their plan to contest in the civic poll, paving the way for  BJD candidates  to get elected unanimously

"It is not a fact that we didn't find  suitable candidates.  The ruling party leaders put pressure on some to pull out.   Town congress committee finalized the list of the candidates for 18 wards. But the BJD leaders of Jajpur used money and muscle powers and terrorized some of the Congress candidates to withdraw their nomination papers.   We will make this as a major issue in the poll”, said Srinath Mishra the president of the district unit of the Congress Party.

But BJD leader refuted the charges. "Congress Party has no base in Jajpur. They forced some persons to contest the poll. But six Congress candidates decided not to contest the poll and withdrew their nomination papers”, said Naresh Chandra Mohanty the president of the district unit of BJD.

The unopposed elected BJD candidates Sandhya Das is the aunty of BJD leader and MLA of Jajpur Pranab Kumar Das  where as Bhabaprakash Das is the   son of Sandhya Das.  BJD is projecting Sandhya Das as the chairperson of the municipality, added Mohanty.

Though the Congress leaders of the district were reportedly at odds over backing the BJD candidates in this civic poll ,  but they still hope that the Congress candidates in other 12 wards will win the
election .

12 Congress candidates are still in the race in 12 wards and we hope that all the Congress candidates will win the election. Some Congress candidates succumbed to the money and muscle power of the BJD
leaders of the district. Large scale corruption in the state and nepotism in the district will be the major poll plank in this civic election in Jajpur”, said Matlub Ali a senior Congress leader and former minister who is in charge of Congress Party‘s affairs in Jajpur district.
