Political will, public cooperation key to sustainable development

Bhubaneswar: Potentiality is aplenty. Political will, stable government, infrastructure development and public cooperation could turn Odisha from a poor state to prosperous one, unanimously admitted all the speakers invited to deliver on the topic ‘Odisha & Future Possibilities’ on the occasion of fifth foundation day of Odisha’s own English newspaper the Indus Valley Times here at Jaydev Bhwan.

Speaking on the occasion Steel and Mines Minister Mr Rajanikant Singh said that development is a continuous process and political stability, skilled human resources and proper utilization of available resources are the roots for sustainable development.

“Development should not be urban oriented. Our state is now suffering from acute shortage of doctors, quality teachers, engineers and quality manpower in every area. Hence, efforts should be taken by every stakeholders like Government, private agencies, NGOs to ensure quality manpower thereby facilitating a sustainable development of the State,” observed the Minister.
