Akshaya Sahoo: A Man of Versatile Personality

Akshaya Sahoo was born in Gajendrapur, district of Jajpur, Odisha on February 16, 1972. He is the Son of Shri Raghunatha Sahoo and Late Indumatee Sahoo and has married to Sasmita, who is a home-maker and has a son (Priya Ranjan) and daughter (Lipika).

He has proved to be a poet, writer, lyricist, freelance Journalist, translator, editor, publisher, consultant, social worker and above all a fine human being. He is associated with both print and audio visual mediums and his articles has published in various Children & Literary Magazines, News Papers, online portals & internet magazines and also participated in some programs in Radio, Cuttack.

His 5 books have been published, Tume Jeunthi Thaa, Akshaya Sahoonka Shishu Gapa, Bigyan Khabar, Mane Rakhi Thaa Sada, Bigyanara Chamatkar and 20 more books awaiting for publication.

He is now Editor of Indumatee, Founder Editor of Ojaswinee, Founder of Ojaswinee Sahitya Sansad, Founder President of Akash Tara Bigyan Parishad & Member, Advisor etc. of many Associations and Proprietor of Indumatee Media (News Agency, Media House, Publishing, Advertising, Photography, Translations, Consultancy and other services).

In Student era of his life he was influenced by the various literary and social organizations. His pioneer is known for his versatile personality and his working in different aspects of social areas. He wants to stand himself in this society by doing some developmental work, so he decided to start the Organisation. Society for Social Welfare, Cultural and Rural Development (SSWCRD) was founded by his Friends and Social Workers. His educational qualification includes B.Sc., Post Graduate Diploma in Plastic Technology from CIPET and DCA. After completing the Plastic Technology course, he joined in plastic company and after 14 years of experience now he is a Plastics Consultant (Set up plastic plant, laboratory, trouble shooting, marketing etc).

He has received many Felicitations, Prizes and Awards for his contribution from various Literary, Cultural & Social Organizations etc.

Saraswati Puja is celebrated every year on the fifth day of the Indian month Magh, the first day of spring. 

Basant Panchami or Shree Panchami or Saraswati Puja is an important Hindu festival. Hindus regard Basant Panchami is the birthday of Goddess 

Saraswati. Saraswati Devi is believed to be the goddess of knowledge, music, art and culture. So Hindus celebrate Basant Panchami with great fervor in temples, homes and even schools and colleges as students across India utter the Saraswati prayer before the idol of the Goddess of knowledge and arts. 

Basant Panchami day is an auspicious day for teaching children to write their first words & start their learning and also considered very auspicious works like marriage, construction of house, beginning of a factory, inauguration of an educational institute etc.

Three day long Buddhist conference ended



Jajpur: The three day long international Buddhist conference ended on Sunday at the famous Buddhist site in Udaygiri in Jajpur district.

"The main objective of the conference was to give major thrust to cultural tourism and explore potential related to the Buddhist circuits in India particularly to Odisha. . The challenge was to craft a perfect platform for such a high profile event and to implement perfection from the beginning to the end. It's safe to say that the event was a big success. Odisha has a rich Buddhist heritage, with several important sites associated with the life of Lord Buddha, which are of great interest for followers of Buddhism the world over.

The conference was held with a view to showcasing and projecting the Buddhist heritage of the state. The Buddhist conference highlighted the relevance of Buddhism in today's age more than 2,000 years after the ancient Indian King Ashoka took it upon himself to spread the message of Lord Buddha”, said  Manoranjan Patnaik the director of Tourism. Patnaik a senior official of Archeological Survey of India (ASI),  Bhubaneswar.
