Sprint queen Dutee Chand got rousing welcome in her village

Jajpur :  Large numbers of villagers and officials felicitated  noted athlete Dutee Chand (18) in her  village Gopalpur village in Jajpur district on Friday after her arrival   in  the village.

A meeting was also organized  where  Debashis Nayak the former minister and
the MLA of Bari while felicitating Dutee,  Sarojini Hembram  the textiles
and handloom minister  and other congratulated  Dutee  for her achievement

Dutee Chand  won  bronze medal  on 8th July in the Women’s 200m race at the
20th Asian Athletics Championship in Pune.   She also won gold medals in
100 and 200 race  in the 53rd National Open Athletics Championships  at
 Ranchi  recently.. Earlier , this year at  the 58th National School Games
in Etawah  in Uttar Pradesh,  Dutee  won a treble  gold medals  in 100m,
200m and 400m  in the National  junior athletic meet.
